Happy Aviation Maintenance Technician Day! 👨🔧✈️Here are a few interesting facts about those unseen heroes of aviation you may have never heard:🔹 Did you know that in the United States alone, 6.4% of all aircraft maintenance technicians are women, while 93.6% are men? The situation is slowly changing, but it still is a predominantly male position.🔹 The training programs to become an aviation maintenance technician can be long and rigorous — one has to complete around 1,920 hours of class time and hands-on training before taking the licensing exam.🔹 It’s estimated that job opportunities for aircraft and avionics equipment mechanics will grow 11% between 2020 and 2030 —which is faster than the average for all occupations.#SensusAero #AviationMaintenanceTechnicianDay

It is very disheartening as well as unbelievable how all these aviation companies in these big countries want qualified personnel to come to work for them when their aren't much of any to work with. Who were there have moved on and you can't develop skill technicians out of thin air. An aircraft technician takes pride in his skills which has been developed over years of wanting to do what has to be done get you safely to where you are going. It takes 18 months of schooling just to get them to a green level. Each individual still have to gain knowledge of each type of Aircraft, which also will take time. The only how these young people can be better at what they have done the ground work before entering any sort of classroom. Which would mean they can transition into the role evolving as they work along side senior staff. This job isn't meant for everyone. Is it that difficult for a technician to get sponsorship from a company like any pilot can? Because the last time I checked the airplanes still need to be maintained just like they need someone to fly them. Respect for the position as an Aircraft Technician must be shown as they are the ones keep you flying all over the world under the safest of conditions.

Working in the air is a great experience for life! It is an opportunity to meet a lot of people, see a many wonderful places and spend unforgettable moments above the clouds! Maciej, who already has 3.5 years of experience working as a cabin crew member on board our aircrafts, will tell us about the specifics of the job and the training process! How did your adventure begin? My sky adventure began somewhat by accident. At first, I worked as an attendant at the gates at the airport. The longer I worked there, the more often I started thinking about working as a cabin crew member. What types of aircraft do you work on?I work on Embraer 170/175/190/195, Boeing 737 and Boeing 787 Dreamliner. How are men perceived in the role of cabin crew?At the very beginning, when the first commercial flights began, the profession was associated only with the female gender - and indeed it was. Only ladies worked on board as cabin crew. Today, on the other hand, I think it is not an uncommon sight. More and more men can be found on board as stewards, very often also with several years of work experience already, who started their sky adventure when I still could not pronounce the word "airplane". I have also had the opportunity to work in an all-male group as well - pilots and stewards on board. What is the training like for a cabin crew member?Aviation is a very dynamic field, and there may have been several changes in the training process, while at the time I went through it, it lasted several weeks and was very intensive. There are usually four days a week of learning, from morning to evening. This one day off is good to use to repeat the material and information learned. There is quite a lot of knowledge, especially if it is the first time someone meets the specifics of aircraft and aviation in general. It's good to be systematic, as new information comes up more and more. At the training we learn the basics of aviation knowledge, concepts, communication between different sectors of the airport operation and its employees. To this, of course, you must also include all standard procedures, safety and those related to the possibility of emergency situations. We also learn about the specifics and equipment of different types of aircraft. Meanwhile, there is training in service standards and soft skills, such as how to address passengers and how to behave in general. Finally, there is an exam that includes questions from each training section. What are the predispositions to work in this profession? Working on board is working with people, so communication skills are important here, as well as the ability to work as part of a team that the crew forms during the flight. Various situations can happen on an airplane, which we are not always able to predict, hence the ability to make informed decisions and openness to new tasks and challenges is very important. Are tattoos acceptable?A cabin crew candidate cannot have tattoos in visible areas

AviNation - We've been on the scene for six (6) years this past July. Yes, we reach youth to inspire. To do so we work with skilled and caring industry leaders throughout the United States and beyond. Yes, recruiters too! If any of our contacts on LinkedIn know of a person to fill this position, please share. Or if you are the one, please apply. Let us know when you secure the position too. One International Aerospace Manufacturer recently said that AviNation did not need to be in touch with their Chairman and CEO because he does not get involved with the things that we do. Since there is a need for more pilots, A&P Mechanics, engineers, and maintenance recruiters AviNation will continue to attract, educate, and empower youth. We do this with current industry leaders in all disciplines. Of course, our quarterly magazine reaches conservatively 100,000 readers in print and digital. Our E-Newsletter reaches over 70,000 educators monthly. Plus, we reach over 3,300 FBOs alone (A BACK COVER Advertisem*nt is ideal here, or a Cornerstone Front Page one too)! #aviation #aerosapace #USA #workforcedevelopment #leadership #HR #recruiters #avinationusa
