Self Assessment Report (Postgraduate Engineering)

The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) announces a new Self Assessment Report (SAR) format for the Postgraduate Engineering Programs, applicable with effect from May 1, 2017.


The implementation of New SAR for Accreditation of Postgraduate Engineering Programs will be as follows:
  1. 1. The Revised format for SAR is applicable for all the Institutions as the Tier system for the Postgraduate Engineering Programs is abolished by NBA.
  2. 2. Institutions which have already submitted SAR in the existing format will have an option to either continue in the same format or apply afresh in the new format. This option will be available till July 31, 2017.
  3. 3. Institutions wishing to submit fresh applications will have an option to do so either in the existing SAR format or the new SAR format till July 31, 2017.
  4. 4. There will only be the new SAR format available with effect from August 1, 2017.

Self Assessment Report (PG Management Programs)

The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) announces a new Self Assessment Report (SAR) format for the Postgraduate Management Programs, applicable with effect from July 1st, 2017.


The implementation of New SAR for Accreditation of Postgraduate Management Programs will be as follows:

  2. 2. Institutions which have already submitted SAR in the existing format will have an option to either continue in the same format or apply afresh in the new format. This option will be available till September 30th, 2017.

Note:

Only Students who graduate during the validity period of accreditation of a course will be deemed to have graduated with an NBA accredited degree.

Commencement of Accreditation Period will be as follows:

  • In case visit of the Expert Team to an Institute is conducted during 1st July - 31st December, the Period of accreditation would commence from the on-going academic year(i.e. 1st July of that year).
  • In case visit is conducted between 1st January to 30th June, the accreditation period would be from the next academic year(i.e. 1st July of the next academic year).

* Applicable for all the programs, except those granted full accreditation for 5 years as per Jan 2013 Manual.

** 2nd Cycle SAR is applicable to all such programs which have been granted full accreditation of 6 years.
