Lynn Reid Molton, 79, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 15, 2024, at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Long and Reverend Taylor Carter officiating. The family will greet friends for a time of visitation on Sunday, January 14, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, Macon, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, please donate to First Evangelical Church, 3601 Fulton Mill Road, Macon, Georgia, 31206 or visit www.fecmacon.org in honor of Mr. Lynn Reid Molton.

Lynn was born in Macon, Georgia, on April 6, 1944, to the Late Reid Molton and Nettie Molton. He was a 1964 graduate of Willingham High School. He served six years in the Georgia National Guard. Lynn joined the Macon-Bibb Fire Department and spent thirty-five years protecting his community, giving of himself and always putting others first. He also worked at the C&H Bus Lines. He was known as “Mr. Fix-It” and could fix anything for anyone. There was nothing he could not fix. Lynn enjoyed spending time riding his motorcycle and camping. He loved his family dearly and he will be greatly missed. Lynn was a member of First Evangelical Church.

Lynn is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Dianne Childs Molton; his three children, Alan Molton (Teresa) of Lizella, Georgia; Karalyn Martin (Keven) of Juliette, Georgia; and Darrell Busbee of Sylvester, Georgia; his six grandchildren, Marlyn Thomas (Austin), Mollie Molton, Brady Molton, Lindsay Martin, Jackson Martin, and Ansley Busbee; and his great-grandchild, Sumlin Thomas. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Jane Hemphill and Rebecca Bullock.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the Atrium Home Health Care Nurse, Erin Carlton, for taking such good care of Lynn for the past few years.
